Remove Sticker Residue off an iPod

Remove Sticker Residue off an iPod - Power off your iPod and unplug any cables.

Apply clean water to a soft, lint-free cloth to dampen it.
Rub the damp cloth on the surface of the iPod to remove the sticky residue. Avoid getting any water in the openings, such as the headphone jack.

People sometimes like to customize their portable music players. For example, Apple offers free engraving for its iPods, so you can print a message on the back of the device. If engraving isn't decorative enough for you, you might have placed a colorful sticker on your iPod, such as a smiley face, your favorite cartoon character or other image. Later, however, you might prefer for your iPod to be unadorned. After you peel the sticker off of the iPod, there could be some sticker residue left behind, which Apple recommends that you remove with a damp cloth.
