The iPod touch is a mobile media device that can play music, movies and games in 960 by 640 resolution. Occasionally, updates are released which increase the functionality of the iPod touch, as well as add new features. As of September 2010, the latest update, version 4.1, includes iTunes television show rentals, Game Center and iTunes Ping, a service which tracks friends' favorite musical artists and songs. The update can be downloaded from the Apple website and then applied to your iPod touch.
