Plug the iPod Nano into the computer using the USB cable that comes with all new iPods.
Allow iTunes to communicate with the iPod. After a brief wait, it will load the iPod into the iTunes window, on the left side.
Drag and drop contents of the iTunes library into the iPod. Depending on the model of Nano, you can add music, movies, photos, playlists and audiobooks to the Nano.
Apple's iPod Nano was introduced in 2005 as a replacement for the iPod Mini, which was the company's first foray into the world of miniature portable MP3 players. The original iPod Nano had a capacity of up to 4 gigabytes of storage, and could only play back music. The latest iPod Nano (as of October 2010), the 6th Generation model, can store up to 16 gigabytes of information, including audio, photo and video. It even has an FM tuner.
