Open the iTunes program on your computer.
Select your iPod Touch from the list of "Devices" on the left-hand side of the iTunes window.
Click the "Info" tab. Check the box located to the left of the "Sync Address Book Contacts" option, and select "All Contacts." Choose the contact management application on your computer you want to use. Click the "Sync" button.
Wait while your iPod Touch syncs with the contact management program on your computer. When the process is complete, iTunes will prompt you that it is safe to remove your iPod Touch from the data cable.
The iPod Touch features a built-in Contacts application that you can use to manage names, phone numbers, addresses, email addresses and more. You can back up information that appears in your Contacts application at any time through the sync process. The iPod Touch syncs through your computer's iTunes program with many contact management applications including Microsoft Outlook, Outlook Express, Windows Vista Contacts, Mac OS X Address Book, Yahoo! Address Book and Google Contacts.
