Turn on a iPod Shuffle

Turn on a iPod Shuffle - Move the power switch on the top of the iPod Shuffle to the "Normal" or "Shuffle" position.

Press the play button on the iPod Shuffle to begin music playback. If the iPod does not begin to play, follow the rest of the instructions.
Plug the iPod USB cable into the bottom of your iPod Shuffle and then connect the other end of the cable to your iPod power adapter.

Plug the iPod power adapter into a standard electrical outlet to charge the iPod Shuffle's battery. Try to press the play button again.

Connect the iPod Shuffle to your Mac or PC computer using the iPod USB cable. Then, open the iTunes program on the computer and sync your iPod with your music library. If your iPod Shuffle was frozen, it should now turn on.

The iPod Shuffle is the smallest member of Apple's line of MP3 players. The device is based on flash memory, which means data is not stored on a traditional hard drive, and as a result, music can be accessed quicker. The iPod Shuffle does not contain a display screen, so the only controls on the device are used to turn the iPod on and adjust the playback of music.
