Install Applications on an iPod Touch

Install Applications on an iPod Touch - Download the latest versions of iTunes and the iPod touch software if you do not have them already.

Click on the "App Store" button in the navigation menu and find an application you would like to install on your iPod touch. The App Store includes both free and paid applications.
Click "Get App" and enter your iTunes Store account information. The application will begin downloading immediately.

Alternatively, you can plug your iPod touch into your computer using the iPod USB cable to begin the syncing process.

Click on the "Applications" tab in the iPod menu, which will come up automatically after your iPod touch has been connected to your computer.

With its full-screen display and touch controls, the iPod touch was a revolutionary device in many ways. However, one of the major complaints about the iPod touch was that it could only run the Apple programs that were included with the device. That all changed when Apple released the iPod touch 2.0 software update, which allowed users to download third-party applications from the iTunes Store.
