Put Downloaded Apps on an iPod from a Laptop

Put Downloaded Apps on an iPod from a Laptop - Launch iTunes on your computer. You use iTunes to manage your iPod Touch.

Connect your iPod Touch to a USB port on your laptop with the included USB cable.
Click the icon of your iPod Touch in the left pane of the iTunes application window.

Click the "Apps" tab in the iTunes window.

Click the "Sync Apps" check box to select it. A list of apps that you downloaded from the App Store appears in the pane below the "Sync Apps" check box. Click the check box next to the name of each app that you want to copy over to your iPod Touch.

Apple's iPod is available in four models: the iPod Touch, the iPod Nano, the iPod Classic and the iPod Shuffle. As of June 2011, only the iPod Touch runs apps from Apple's App Store. The iPod Touch connects to the Internet via Wi-Fi, so you can search for apps and download them directly to the device. If instead you used Apple's free iTunes application to download apps from the App Store to your laptop, you can use a USB cable to transfer them to the iPod Touch.
