Agree to the iTunes' Terms and Conditions then follow the on-screen instructions to set up the software on your computer once it has downloaded.
Open the folder containing the MP3 files you want to transfer to the iPod. Right-click on each track you want to add and then select "Open using iTunes" from the menu. The song should start playing in iTunes and the track will display in the iTunes library. Repeat this step for all tracks you want to add to your iPod. To add a whole folder, click on "File" in the iTunes window, select "Add to Library" and then select the folder you wish to add.
Connect your iPod to the computer using the special USB cable. If this is the first time you have connected your iPod, you might have to run through a set-up procedure. iTunes will ask you to give the iPod a name and select your default options for syncing music, pictures, video and language. The software will then sync with your iPod. When you are finished, the iPod should appear under "Devices" in the left-hand toolbar of the iTunes window.
Transferring music from Windows Vista to a mini iPod requires iTunes music software, an iPod USB cable and MP3 tracks on your hard drive. IPods come in different shapes and sizes, the smallest "mini" models being the iPod Nano and the iPod Shuffle. However, the syncing process with Windows Vista is the same for all models. Once you have downloaded and installed iTunes, you could be listening to your MP3 tracks on your mini iPod within minutes.
