Charge the iPod Touch With a Computer - Turn on your computer if it isn’t already.

Connect your iPod Touch to the computer with the USB cable provided at the purchase of the iPod. You can use any open USB port on the computer.
Allow iTunes to open and sync with the Touch.

Check the iPod Touch screen to ensure the battery icon has an icon of a lightning bolt on it to show that it is charging. Charging is complete when the icon inside the battery icon changes to a plug.



Apple iPods utilize a few different ways of charging them. You can charge it by different docks or by the standard USB cable that comes with the iPod Touch. Using the USB cable allows you to connect it to your computer while you’re browsing the Internet or listening to music from the iPod. It’s a way to save energy and multitask.
