The iPod Touch, first released in 2007, was the first Apple iPod to utilize a touchscreen, which was popularized with the iPhone. In essence, the iPod Touch is a toned down iPhone, without the ability to make phone calls or text. But, that doesn't mean it's not a capable device. In addition to being an all-purpose media player like all iPods, the Touch can download apps and surf the Internet at Wi-Fi hotspots. And, as with all iPods, the Touch can sync and play videos.
