Adjust the Volume on an iPod

Adjust the Volume on an iPod - Press the center button over the "Music" tab and glide your finger clockwise or counter-clockwise to scroll through the list of songs.

Press the center button to begin playback.
Glide your finger counter-clockwise on the iPod's click wheel to lower the volume, and glide your finger clockwise on the click wheel to increase the volume.

Tap the "Music" icon on your iPod Touch's home screen, and tap the song to play the song.

Press the silver bar on the left side of the screen up or down to increase or decrease the volume.

As you listen to different types of music on your iPod, you may notice that the volume changes significantly from song to song. If the default volume level on your iPod is too low or too loud for you, there are several ways to adjust the volume, as well as a volume limit you can set to prevent temporary hearing damage due to high sound levels. Once set, the volume limit will not let songs go higher than your settings until you adjust the settings.
