Change iPod Settings



Change iPod Settings - Connect your iPod to your computer using the USB cable and launch iTunes.

Select your device in the directory on the left. Select the "Summary" tab in the main window.
Click the "Restore" button in the bottom section of the Summary window. Select a restore option:

Wait for the restoration process to complete via iTunes and follow any restore instructions displayed according to the device model (for example, iTunes may require the iPod to be disconnected to complete the restoration process).



Connect your iPod to your computer using the USB cable and launch iTunes. Select your device in the directory on the left. If manual management of the iPod is desired, select the "Summary" tab in the main menu and select the option to "Manually manage music and videos" to override default sync settings and enable disk use. Click the "Apply" button to confirm this global setting.

The iPod is a versatile music player and information storage device because many iPod models have a robust memory capacity. Settings for the iPod can be customized for playback and music synchronization. Preferences can be set on the unit or through the iTunes application to manage the music and video library and set up data to be loaded for pictures, addresses and calendars. For problems with the device, restoring the iPod to factory settings can be performed through iTunes.
