Click "Free Download" by the Video Converter for Mac to download the free conversion software.
Double-click on the .dmg file that is created after the download is finished. After the software is finished installing, copy the application into your "Applications" folder by dragging and dropping it into the folder. Open the application by double-clicking on it.
Click the "Add Files" button located in the upper left-hand corner. Select the .wmv file you wish to convert for use on your iPod Touch.
Click the "Format" drop-down menu to specify a file format to convert to. Scroll down and select "iPod" and then specify "MPEG-4".
WMV stands for Windows Media Video. It is a compressed video file format developed by Microsoft and is frequently used to transmit video content to be viewed on a Windows-enabled PC. Apple's iPod Touch cannot read WMV files. However, it can read MPEG-4 files, another compressed multimedia file format. To view WMV files on an iPod Touch, a user will have to first convert the file to a MPEG-4 format.
