Delete the Other Information on the iPod

Delete the Other Information on the iPod - Plug the iPod cable into the bottom of your iPod and plug the other end into your computer's USB or Firewire port.

Click "Start, "All Programs," "Apple" and "iTunes" to run the program on your PC. For Macintosh computers, open the Applications folder in Finder and double-click the "iTunes" icon.
Click the "iPod" tab under the Devices section in the iTunes sidebar and click the tabs in the main iTunes window of the content you wish to remove. Uncheck the box next to the information. For example, uncheck the box next to "Sync Photos."

Click the "Apply" button to save the changes and begin removing information from the iPod. Unplug the iPod when the synchronization completes.

Your iPod can be used to not only play music; it can also be used to add contacts, calendar events, videos and photos through synchronization with your iTunes program. In order to free up space on your iPod, you can delete all extraneous information from the device through your iTunes program. This is accomplished by unchecking specific content while in your iPod's preferences, which removes all information except for content that is checked for synchronization. If you need to add the information back onto your iPod in the future, place a check next to the content to re-sync.
