Force Quit on an IPod Video

Force Quit on an IPod Video - Switch the "hold" button on the top of your iPod on and off to make sure it's not stuck.

Press and hold the center "select" button on your iPod and press and hold the "menu" (top of the scroll wheel) simultaneously.
Continue pressing the two buttons as you wait for the screen to turn off and restart (this will take approximately 10 seconds). Continue holding down both keys until you see the Apple logo appear on your screen.

Repeat Steps 2 and 3 to properly reset your iPod.

Sometimes iPods will freeze and cannot be turned off. Luckily a special sequence is built into the device that will force it to quit, or shut down.
