Put Music Onto Your iPod Without iTunes - Download the SharePod software. The download is compatible with Windows OS only. A direct download link is provided in the references section of this article.

Double click the downloaded ZIP file to begin the installation. Accept the terms of service and install to your local hard drive. SharePod should take less than 10 MB of hard drive space, depending on your system configuration.
Open the SharePod software to verify the installation is complete.

Connect your iPod to your PC using the iPod-compatible USB cable. If iTunes opens automatically, close it.



Click the "Copy to iPod" button. A dialogue will open that lets you select music files on your hard drive. Choose as many as you wish to copy, using SHIFT or CTRL to select multiple files at once. You can also select full folders of music.

Apple's popular line of iPod music players is designed to work best with Apple's own iTunes music management system. But if you don't (or can't) use iTunes to manage your music library, a number of different software programs allow you to put music on your iPod without connecting through iTunes. One of the best options is a software package called SharePod, available for the Windows OS.
