Launch iTunes on your computer. Add the DVD movie to your iTunes library by clicking on the “File” menu and selecting “Add to Library.” When the file selection dialog box opens, navigate to where you have the DVD movie saved and select it and click “Open.” This will place the DVD movie file in your iTunes library, which is where it has to be to sync it to the iPod Touch.
Attach your iPod Touch 2nd generation to your computer using the USB sync cord that came with it. You will see the iPod Touch appear under “Devices” on the left panel of the iTunes screen. Click on it to select it.
Select on the “Movies” tab in the main part of the iTunes screen. Select to sync either the entire movie library or just selected movies. If you do selected movies you can manually select just the DVD movie to sync to the iPod Touch. Click “Apply” at the bottom of the screen and then “Sync” when you are ready to put the movies onto the iPod Touch.
The Apple iPod Touch 2nd generation, which was released in September of 2008, is a portable device that can hold music, video, data and other media files. Media files, including movie files, can be added to an iPod Touch at any time as long as the files are located on your computer. If you have DVD movies that you want to take with you and watch on your iPod Touch you can do so easily.
