Purchased iTunes movies stored on your Apple TV can be transferred to any Apple mobile device, including your iPod, through iTunes' media synchronization. When iTunes connects to your Apple TV, all purchased content is copied from the Apple TV and stored in iTunes. Once transferred, movies can then be synced to your iPod for portable playback.
