Register as an iPod Developer - Go to the Apple Developer website and click "Enroll Now." You are redirected to a page that outlines the three steps of the registration process--register as a developer, select your programs and complete your purchase.

Click "Continue" at the bottom of the page. The next page asks whether you are already an Apple developer.
Select "I need to create a new account for an Apple Developer Program" and click "Continue."

Choose whether to be an individual developer or whether to enroll as a company. To enroll as a company, provide additional information, such as articles of incorporation.

Enter your desired Apple ID, email address, mailing address and phone number. Click "Continue."

Besides being a music player, Apple's popular iPod Touch and its sister products, the iPhone and iPad, are full-fledged computers, able to run programs called apps, short for "applications." Apple allows anyone to register as an app developer through its iOS Developer Program. Registering entitles you to free downloads of Apple's Software Developer Kit, electronic manuals, video tutorials and other information. Registration is $99 for individuals and can be done through Apple's website.
