Restart an iPod Nano 3rd Generation

Restart an iPod Nano 3rd Generation - After ensuring the Nano still has power, flip the "hold" switch (located below the wheel and to the left of the USB cord dock and the head phone jack) to the ON position and back to the OFF position.

Press the spot on the wheel labeled 'menu' simultaneously with the button in the center of the wheel. Hold these buttons for about six to ten seconds or until the Apple logo appears on the screen.
After this screen loads, you should be able to operate your Nano as usual. If you are still having difficulty operating your iPod, repeat steps 1 and 2. If the iPod still does not work, consult Apple Customer Service.

Has your iPod nano just stopped working? Will it not respond to any combination of button pressing? Will it just not turn on? Before you thrash it against the wall or shove it in a drawer, you may want to try restarting it.
