Add Songs to Your iPod Touch Without Deleting the Ones You Already Have - Connect your iPod Touch to a computer's USB port using an iPod Touch USB cord.

Open iTunes.
Click on the iPod Touch name found under "Devices."

Click the "Summary" tab that is positioned at the top of the iTunes program.



Click "Manually manage music and videos," which is located inside the middle iTunes panel. Then, click "Apply" at the bottom of the program. You will now be able to add songs manually to the iPod Touch without deleting from the iPod Touch.

The iPod Touch is a portable media device that plays a wide variety of audio files. You can add songs onto the iPod Touch by syncing the player with the iTunes software program. If you try to sync the iPod Touch with multiple computers, however, you may lose all of the files saved on the device. Changing how the iPod Touch syncs with iTunes will allow you to safely add songs onto the player without deleting songs currently on the iPod Touch.
