Restart a Seized iPod

Restart a Seized iPod - Turn on the iPod.

Toggle the "Hold" switch at the top of the iPod. Make sure it is in the "Off" position.
Press the "Menu" and "Select" button at the same time until the "Apple" logo appears on the screen. This usually takes six to eight seconds.

If you experience an error while using the iPod and it seizes up, you can simply restart it to resolve any issues. A restart does not affect any data saved to the hard drive.
