The Apple Universal Dock provides a convenient base for holding an iPod Touch upright. To view TV episodes recorded on the Touch on your TV, use an iPod video converter cable. There are a number of these available, both from Apple and third-party companies, and they all work in the same manner. The procedure to use the iPod video cable is straightforward and will not cause any harm to the Touch or the TV.
