The iPod touch requires a user's iTunes account to purchase songs and videos, download podcasts, and buy and install apps. If you buy a used iPod or want to use a different account, you'll need to remove the Apple ID associated with the iPod before you can buy or install any new features. There are two ways to do this: a full reset of the iPod software, or signing out of the iTunes Store.
