Use Parental Controls for Your Child's iPod

Use Parental Controls for Your Child's iPod - Tap the "Settings" icon on the iPod Touch to open the Settings menu.

Open the "General" menu by tapping on it, then tap "Restrictions."
Tap "Enable Restrictions." You'll be asked to enter a four-digit passcode. After you've entered the passcode, Restrictions will be enabled.

Tap the "ON" switch for any applications you want to restrict your child from using. This will change the switch to "OFF" and hide those applications from your child's home screen. You've successfully used parental controls on your child's iPod Touch.

The iPod Touch is a portable, touch-screen media device that runs the iOS mobile operating system, much like an iPhone. Because the iPod Touch runs iOS, it has access to the "Restrictions" features of that operating system. This allows parents to set a passcode and disable certain applications from being used on the iPod Touch. You can learn how to use these parental controls in just a few steps.
