Connect Your iPod Touch to a PC

Connect Your iPod Touch to a PC - Download and install the latest version of iTunes to your PC (see Resources below).

Plug the appropriate end of your iPod USB cable (which comes with the iPod) into the iPod. Make sure that it is connected securely.
Plug the opposite end of your iPod USB cable into any USB port on your computer. The iPod Touch requires a USB 2.0 port to function properly.

Wait for your computer to recognize the iPod. Open iTunes. If you're hooked up correctly, then your PC will open iTunes automatically and load your iPod Touch's information. If this doesn't happen, check your computer hardware and software to make sure that it is compatible. Then repeat the above steps and make sure you're connected properly.

Use iTunes to add, delete, and otherwise manage the content of your iPod Touch seamlessly from your desktop.
