Take Care of an iPod Touch - Keep your iPod Touch in a temperate environment. The iPod Touch should not be used below freezing (0 degrees C or 32 degrees F), or above 95 degrees F (35 degrees C).

Keep your iPod Touch dry. If your iPod Touch gets wet, unplug it, turn it off using the Sleep/Wake button. Towel-dry the iPod, and then, if you are concerned that water has seeped inside, place the iPod in a bag of uncooked rice. Over the next 24 hours, the rice will help absorb the moisture in the electronics. After 24 hours, remove the iPod Touch and attempt to turn it on.
Turn off your iPod Touch and unplug any cables. Dampen a soft, lint-free cloth, such as the type used for cleaning a pair of eyeglasses. Wipe the iPod Touch down. Only use clean water. Let your iPod air dry. Clean the screen of your iPod Touch regularly to remove fingerprints, smudges and various dust and debris.

Take your iPod Touch to a certified iPod repair facility if you suspect the iPod requires repairs. According to Apple, the iPod Touch "Does not contain any user-servicable parts."



The best way to extend the life of your iPod Touch is to take good care of it. With proper care, your iPod will not only last longer, but will perform better on a day to day basis.
