As with the majority of Apple's multimedia hardware, the A1285 iPod nano doesn't provide a computer with direct access to its storage space. New music is added to the device via a USB cable transfer, but requires the free iTunes multimedia management software installing on your PC to add new content to the device. Once iTunes is installed, music is synced music between the computer and the iPod nano quickly and efficiently.
