Fix an iPod Touch Wheel



Fix an iPod Touch Wheel - Set your iPod's "Hold" button so it's not on hold. Slide it over to "Hold" and then back to its original position.

Press the "Menu" button and the round center "Select" button simultaneously until the Apple logo appears. Repeat this step if the touch wheel is still frozen.
Attempt holding the "Menu" and "Select" buttons again if the touch wheel is still frozen.

Ensure your computer has the latest version of iTunes by checking the Apple website. Click on "iPod + iTunes," to see the latest version. Download that version of iTunes if needed.



Open iTunes on your computer's desktop and connect your iPod to your computer.

Your iPod is useless if its touch wheel stops working. Before you toss it away in frustration, a few troubleshooting tricks might bring your iPod back from the dead.
