Download Music From Laptop to iPod - Download and install iTunes onto the laptop.

Open iTunes. Click “File” located at the top of the program. A box will appear. Choose “Add Folder to Library” in that box and a window will open.
Click the folder holding the music you want to put onto the iPod. Then, click “OK” to add all of the music to iTunes.

Connect the iPod to one of the laptop's USB ports using the iPod cable.



Click the “Music” option located under “Library.” The songs saved in iTunes will become visible in the center of iTunes.

Music that you have saved onto your laptop can be listened to using many different software programs. One of those programs is the Apple software iTunes. The iTunes software is also used to sync an iPod with the laptop. The same program is needed in order to move music from the laptop to your iPod. Before you will be able to transfer the music onto your iPod, however, you will first need to manually add the files to iTunes.
