The iPod is a portable digital media player that was originally released in 2001 by Apple Computer Inc. Since its original release, the iPod has undergone several upgrades in both capacity and design. While the iPod is set up by default to sync automatically with your iTunes library, you may disable this function and manually manage your media files. Thankfully, the process is straightforward and can be accomplished in just a few minutes.
