Reset Your iPod if It's Frozen - Turn your iPod Touch off and back on before you attempt a reset.

Locate the "On/Off" button on the top left edge of the iPod Touch.
Hold down the "On/Off" button and the "Home" button at the same time. The Home button is centered under the display screen.

Continue to hold the two buttons for at least 10 seconds. Ignore the red slider that appears at the top of the screen.



Wait for the Apple logo to appear on the screen. When you see it, release the two buttons.

When your iPod Touch freezes, you can't do anything with it. Apple recommends you turn the device off and back on. This simple procedure fixes a lot of problems. If restarting the iPod doesn't help, Apple recommends a reset of the device. The procedure is simple and takes only a moment.
