Scroll Through Songs on an iPod Faster

Scroll Through Songs on an iPod Faster - Turn on your iPod and navigate to the "Songs" menu. On an iPod touch, simply tap the "Songs" icon with your finger. On an iPod classic, select "Music" from the home screen, then select "Songs."

Scroll quickly through your iPod touch song list by using your finger to make a flicking motion across the screen. Continue flicking the list when it slows until you have reached the song you want to play. You can use this motion in conjunction with simply dragging the list with your fingertip.
Navigate your iPod classic menu at a much greater speed by running your thumb or finger rapidly in a clockwise motion around the iPod's navigation wheel. This will cause the library to jump rapidly to songs beginning with subsequent letters of the alphabet. Scroll backwards by running your thumb or finger counter-clockwise around the navigation wheel.

If you have an especially large library of songs housed in your iPod, it can be tedious and frustrating when you have to scroll through them all to find the one you want. Fortunately, depending on which model iPod you have, there are ways of navigating through a massive audio library more quickly, saving you time and avoiding annoying pauses in your listening. Some iPods, such as the Shuffle, do not have this capability, but the iPod touch and iPod classic models do.
