Plug your iPod into your computer using the USB connector. Open iTunes on your computer and then click on the name of your iPod under the "Devices" heading.
Click on the "Contacts" tab and then click on the "Sync Address Book option." Click on the "All Contacts" option or the "Selected groups" option to choose individual contact folders. Your iPod will now directly sync the contacts from your computer to your iPod.
Disconnect your iPod and check to make sure all of the contacts are correct on your iPod. You can add new contacts to iPod manually if you have an iPod touch by going to your contacts and clicking on the option to "Add New Contact."
The iPod allows you to add personal contact directly to your iPod through iTunes. Syncing your contacts that are stored on your computer is a simple process and is similar to syncing your calendar, photos, videos and songs to your iPod. You can make it so that is every new contact you add to your iPod or address book on your computer is automatically transferred to update both contact folder every time you plug your iPod into your computer. This is especially helpful when you manually add a new contact into your iPod Touch so that the new contact transfers automatically to the address book on your computer.
