Look at your iPod screen when your iPod is connected to your computer. The screen should read that the iPod is connected and the battery icon on the top right corner should be charged when it's fully a green or white color.
Turn off your computer's sleep or hibernation mode. Make sure your computer stays on and doesn't go to sleep or into screen saver mode while your iPod is charging. Also, make sure no other devices are charging or in use through other USB ports on your computer.
Unplug the iPod from your computer after an hour or longer. Check the battery status bar, which should be a green color to indicate that the battery is charged.
An iPod is a portable media device that allows users to listen to music, play games, watch videos and more. You can charge your iPod by connecting it to your computer using the USB connector that comes with your iPod. If you experience problems charging your iPod, in most cases your iPod may be frozen and not recognize that it's connected to your computer. You must then reset your iPod so that it can easily charge again.
