Unlock My iPod if I Forgot the Combination

Unlock My iPod if I Forgot the Combination - Turn on the computer you used to sync the iPod with the first time. This is the first computer you connected to the iPod.

Plug the white iPod USB cable into the bottom of your iPod.
Plug the other end of the iPod USB cable into your computer. The iTunes software will launch once the two are connected. Once the program is running, you should see the name of your iPod on the left-hand side of the screen. This is the name you gave the iPod when you completed the online registration.

Click on the up arrow next to your iPod's name on the left side of screen. This will eject the iPod from iTunes and unlock the iPod.

You can program your iPod to lock once it's disconnected from your computer to prevent other people from using it without your permission. This feature is available on newer iPod models, but not the first year models. Once the iPod is locked, you need to enter the four-digit combination to unlock the screen so it can be used. If you forgot the combination, there is still an easy way to unlock your iPod.
