Fully Unlock an iPod Bluetooth - Go to the apple.com and download the latest software update (See References) or connect it through iTunes, outlined in the next step.

Connect your iPod Touch to your computer with your USB cable. Fit the smaller end to the computer's USB hub and the larger end to the bottom of your iPod Touch.
Select "iPod Touch" under Devices at the left of the panel when the iTunes application opens.

Click "Check for Update" on the "Summary" page.



Click "Download and Install" to download the updated software. Now, you have updated your iPod Touch and the Bluetooth technology will be automatically unlocked because it is a feature of the new iTunes software.

The iPod Touch has a locked Bluetooth technology that can be used with a simple update to the iOs 3.0 software. The Bluetooth technology, a Broadcom chip, features Bluetooth 2.1 and EDR support, as well as an FM receiver. The software is already available in the second-generation iPod Touch, but older versions can also unlock the software by updating the Apple software to iOS 3.0 or higher.
