Select "iPod Touch" under Devices at the left of the panel when the iTunes application opens.
Click "Check for Update" on the "Summary" page.
Click "Download and Install" to download the updated software. Now, you have updated your iPod Touch and the Bluetooth technology will be automatically unlocked because it is a feature of the new iTunes software.
The iPod Touch has a locked Bluetooth technology that can be used with a simple update to the iOs 3.0 software. The Bluetooth technology, a Broadcom chip, features Bluetooth 2.1 and EDR support, as well as an FM receiver. The software is already available in the second-generation iPod Touch, but older versions can also unlock the software by updating the Apple software to iOS 3.0 or higher.
