Open iTunes on your computer if it doesn't automatically open.
Click on the iPod icon in the left-hand pane.
Click on the "Summary" tab in the main window area if it's not already selected.
Apple's iPod lineup gives you plenty of options for MP3 players, like the iPod Touch, the iPod Classic and the iPod Nano; the iPod Nano is one of the smaller options. Normally you just use the iPod Nano as an MP3 player, syncing its contents with iTunes on your computer, but you can also use it as a flash drive to transfer or store data. The process only takes a few moments to complete.
