Use the iPod AV Cable

Use the iPod AV Cable - Plug the single end of the AV cable into the iPod's headphone jack.

Connect the AV cable's colored plugs into your television. Use the colors as a guide. For example, insert the red and white audio plugs into the red and white ports on your television and insert the yellow video plug into the yellow port on the TV.
Press the "Menu" button on the iPod's front click wheel. Scroll down and click "Videos," then select "Settings."

Choose "TV Out" to toggle the feature on and off. Set it to "ON."

Turn on the television. Return to the iPod and press "Menu" from the video settings screen to return to the general video list. Choose any video title to begin playing it. The iPod will stream the video and audio to the connected TV.

People usually enjoy the Apple iPod's video playback capabilities by using its included white earbuds and watching movies on the iPod's tiny screen. You can amplify your iPod's sound and expand its movies onto a bigger screen by using an iPod audio-video (AV) cable. Numerous companies manufacture such cables so you can hook up the portable media player to a television for a bigger and better iPod experience.
