Load Music on an iPod Mini

Load Music on an iPod Mini - Connect the dock connector end of the supplied cable to the dock connector on the bottom of your iPod mini.

Plug the USB end of the cable into an available high-speed USB port on your computer.
Open iTunes on your computer--if your computer and iPod Mini are working correctly, an iPod Mini icon will appear in the "Device" section of the iTunes interface, which is located on the left-hand side of iTunes, below the iTunes library.

Click on "Music" below the "Library" tab to display all of the songs in your iTunes library.

Use the scroll bar on the far right side of the iTunes interface to browse the songs in your iTunes library.

The iPod Mini was Apple's first smaller alternative to the original iPod. And while the Mini was discontinued in 2005 to make way for the iPod Nano, the Mini is still a relevant iPod model. While its features--no photo or video capabilities, no color screen--are a bit prehistoric compared to newer iPods, with storage capacities that ranged from 1,000 to 1,500 songs, depending on the generation, the Mini still offers users plenty of storage space well after it disappeared from the marketplace. Despite its age, loading music to the iPod Mini is the same as it is for newer models.
