Sync or Stream Your Content to Apple TV - Turn on your TV, Apple TV console and your computer.

Select "Sources" from Apple TV's main menu.
Select "Syncing."

Write down your unique passcode (generated by Apple) that appears on your TV screen.

Open iTunes on your computer and navigate to your "Devices" list.

Apple TV can be set up to automatically sync with your iTunes account so you don't need to manually upload all the content you wish to view. You can also stream iTunes through your Apple TV, thereby saving hard drive space while you enjoy the movie you want to watch.
