Use an iPod as a Disk Drive

Use an iPod as a Disk Drive - Plug your iPod into your computer. If iTunes doesn't launch automatically, launch it.

Click on the iPod under the "Devices" list on the left sidebar. Ensure that the "Summary" Tab is enabled.
Select the check box on the bottom of the "Summary" panel that enables disk use. Your iPod will appear on your desktop (Mac Users) or on the My Computer window (Windows).

Drag files and folders to your iPod to copy them from your hard drive. Now your important work will travel with you in your pocket or purse.

Eject or "Safely Remove" the iPod so that files and music are not damaged. Like any other removable drive, you must safely remove (Windows) or eject (Mac) before disconnecting the drive.

You're probably used to taking your iPod around with you for music. But that little box in your pocket can also hold important files you might need when you're on the go. Why bother to have an extra flash drive around that's easy to lose when you already have all the storage you need in your pocket?
