Download Music to an Apple iPod Classic - Download and install iTunes on your computer. Add all your music files to the library. You can either import files from your hard drive or make purchases from the iTunes store.

Connect the USB cable (provided with the device) to the iPod. Connect the other end to your computer.
Open iTunes. The first time you connect your iPod, you will need to name the iPod and configure it. After that, every time you connect the iPod, iTunes will automatically recognize the device

Click the "Music" tab in the main window.
