Navigate to the "Settings" icon, which is found on the first page of the iPod menu by default. Scroll down the menu until you reach the "Safari" icon. Press this tab and scroll down to the bottom of the options. You will see a tab entitled "Clear History."
Press the "Clear History" tab once, and the iPod will ask you if you're sure about your preference. Click "Clear History" on this submenu, and all browsing will be deleted.
Open the "Safari" icon on the front page of your iPod menu. In the bottom of the bar, you'll see a little book icon; this is called the bookmarks tab. Click on this tab, and press the "History" option on the next page.
If you own an iPod with web browsing capability, it's handy to know how to clear your search history for privacy reasons. You can manually clear all your web browsing history under the settings panel, but that doesn't prevent the web browser or search engines from clearing history of their own. Here you will be able to erase what you filled into certain search bars, erase your web history and clear the cache files from your iPod.
