Tap "Wi-Fi," located at the top of the "Settings" menu.
Turn on Wi-Fi by sliding the on-screen Wi-Fi power switch to "On." Your iPod Touch will take a moment to scan the area for wireless Internet signals and deliver a list of results.
Tap the network you wish to connect to from the results list, located below "Choose a Network."
The iPod Touch isn't merely a touch screen iPod. It's actually more similar to Apple's iPhone, as of 2010. It can run applications, download media off the Internet and even use Safari, the device's built-in Web browser. The Touch can connect to the Internet as long as it is in range of a wireless access point, such as a home router.
