Figure Out the Combination to Unlock Your iPod - Connect your iPod to the primary computer it´s associated with. This is the first computer that your iPod synced with.

Open iTunes and wait for your iPod to appear in the source panel on the left. If the source panel does not automatically appear, make sure the "visualizer" is turned off by selecting "Hide Visualizer" from the View menu.
Disconnect your iPod from the computer. It will no longer be locked.

Connect your iPod to the computer you wish to designate as the new primary computer associated with your iPod. Be aware that this will erase all music, movies and other data on your iPod and cannot be undone.



Open iTunes and connect your iPod to the computer. After a few moments, your iPod will appear in the source panel.

An iPod comes with a digital lock as a handy security feature to discourage theft and prevent another person from using your iPod when it is not attached to a computer. The lock feature prevents users from using the screen and iPod user interface, and does not destroy or encrypt the data on your iPod. When the lock feature is activated, you must enter your four-digit combination to unlock the screen. According to Apple's support site, if you've forgotten the combination there is no way to recover it. However, you can still unlock your iPod and use it again.
