Prepare a video for viewing. To prepare a video for viewing on an iPod, it must first be in a file format that the iPod can use. To convert videos that are not in the MPEG-4 format, you may use iTunes' built-in software or use third party video conversion software.
Sync videos. Once you have videos to watch on your iPod, you are ready to sync them to the iPod using iTunes. This can be either by selecting videos individually or by syncing a video playlist.
Click on the "Movies" tab under the "Library" heading of the side menu bar. This will open your video library and allow you to select individual video files. Once a file is highlighted, drag it to the iPod icon under the "Devices" heading of the side menu.
With the new video versions of the iPod, you are able to view videos of several types on your iPod. If you wish to sync videos on an iPod from a computer, you will need to follow a few basic steps.
