Transfer Music From a Hard Drive to An iPod - Download and install iTunes from the link in the "Resources" section of this article if you do not already have the program.

Open the iTunes program.
Click on the "File" menu at the top left of iTunes to open a drop-down menu.

Select "Add Folder to Library" from the menu to open a window containing numerous folders.



Click on the folder that contains the music on your hard drive that you wish to transfer to your iPod. Then click "Open" at the bottom of the window.

You can listen to music saved on your hard drive using audio software programs such as iTunes, which is the same software program you need to move the music from your hard drive to an iPod.
