Connect a 3rd Generation Apple iPod Shuffle to a Bose SoundDock

Connect a 3rd Generation Apple iPod Shuffle to a Bose SoundDock - Insert the connection port on the bottom of the iPod Shuffle into the iPod dock adapter. This enlarges the connection on the Shuffle, allowing you to connect it to standard iPod equipment.

Flip open the connection dock on the front of the Bose SoundDock. This is directly in the middle of the device, right below the speaker.
Plug the bottom of the iPod dock adapter into the dock on the bottom of the Bose SoundDock.

Power on the iPod and the Bose SoundDock. Press "Play" and the audio now begins to play through the speaker system.

The Apple iPod Shuffle third generation is a condensed version of the larger iPod. It does not have a built-in LCD screen and you are only able to play songs in either the order the files are uploaded or in a random mode. The Shuffle also has a different dock type so if you want to attach it to any iPod based device, such as the Bose SoundDock, you need to use an appropriate adapter.
