Download Songs to Your iPod Shuffle From iTunes - Use the iPod shuffle USB cable to connect the device to your computer. Open the iTunes application.

Go to the “Devices” menu on the left of the window and click on the iPod shuffle icon.
Choose the “Music” tab from the options at the top of the iTunes window.

Check the option to “Sync Music.” Set iTunes to sync “Entire music library” or “Selected playlists, artists and genres.”



Press the “Apply” button to start downloading the songs to your iPod shuffle. Press the eject icon next to the iPod shuffle icon prior to disconnecting the iPod shuffle USB cable.

The iPod shuffle is Apple’s most compact and least expensive personal audio player. The 3rd generation late 2009 iPod shuffle comes in 2GB and 4GB models with five color options. The controls for the iPod shuffle are on the earphone cord and, unlike other iPods, there is no LCD screen. Downloading songs to your iPod shuffle from iTunes is known as “Syncing.”
